When I saw that the sketch had a 5x7 photo in it, I INSTANTLY knew what group of pictures I was going to use. I have this amazing photo that I took of Kyle and Kadence on the beach and from then on the ball was rolling like nobody's business!
Here is my take on MWM #37:
Products used on sketch:
- Kraft paper
- Echo Park "life is good"
- AC Thickers in Salutations
- Basic Grey buttons
- MME rick rack ribbon
- Martha Stewart 1 inch scallop circle punch/ flower punch
Now, I recently came across another blog called Sketchy Thursdays. I went through the site and saw some of the layouts, and I fell in love with them! And I loved this week's sketch so I had to take a stab at it!
And here is my layout:
Products used on sketch:
- AC Specialty cardstock
- My Mind's Eye party papers (courtesy of BFF Shana!)
- Misc. ribbon, bling, glitter paper
- AC Thickers in Delight and Dear Lizzy fantastic
- Chatterbox Journal Genie "funky" template
- Ranger stickles
- black staples
Some crafty friends of mine were talking about thickers, and how alter them and add to them to spice up our pages. i have been doing this with stickles recently, but this time I "bling"-ed them up with some blingy stars! I love it! It really adds that something extra to the page.
The story behind the layout is this: I have been a member of the "What to Expect When You're Expecting November 2009" boards since I was 8 weeks pregnant. Since then, I have formed so many special relationships with many wonderful women and it is hard to picture my life without them. We went through pregnancy, birth, newborns to mobile babies. From crawling and scooting, to first steps and first words. We have all truly felt like our children have "grown up" together....and through the blessing of the internet, they have.
When the talk of a big mommy meet-up in Orlando started, I knew I had to be a part of it. What was once just an idea, finally came to fruition on March 3rd, 2011. There were mommies and babies from all over coming to the meet-up. Vermont, Illinois, Arkansas, North Carolina, Tennessee, and all over Florida. We did dinner, brunches, the Magic Kingdom, and had a wonderful time.
I had the honour of staying with two other fabulous women, Shana, my BFF, and Cela. I have known Shana for a year now (in real life lol), and we met Cela for the first time in Orlando. I am so lucky that I had two lovely ladies to share these wonderful memories with!
That is all for now. Until next time, ciao bellas!!!
